I went to nursing school right out of high school. I earned by BSN from King College in 2007. I started my nursing career in NC in Med-Surg and then Mother-Baby. We then moved back to VA where I worked in the NICU at Carilion and then the Child Development Clinic. All these experiences gave me knowledge, insight, empathy, and passion for preserving the beautiful moments in life.
I am currently an elementary school nurse and I am loving it!
I became a mom in 2011. The day before my own birthday, my oldest son Cameron was born at the hospital I worked at in NC. I was actually nearing the end of a 12 hour night shift when my water broke! I sat on a pad in mother/baby and gave report before walking over to a room in L&D! It was surreal! Our second son, Declan, came in 2014 after we moved back to VA. These boys could not be more different when they were little! And when little sister, Rowan, arrived in 2019, our family was complete. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Chris who is also my second photographer for weddings. We've been together since 2002 and married since 2007. Chris is the reason I have this business! He encouraged and supported me to begin this journey and is still my number 1 supporter!
Photography
When momming, nursing, and photographing combine...
My experiences as both nurse and mom have shaped who I am as a photographer. What once started as just a hobby, has turned into a passion that I can do while still holding down a full time job as a school nurse! I fill my calendar because I want to, not because I have to. My clients are my passion projects and I take care in every session to bring moments to life!
Parenthood is filled with irreplaceable moments that can slip away with time. I’m here to help you capture and keep them vivid.
